ends up kristyn was choking on her bday cake. we had to give her the heimlich. cake projectiles everywhere. heh! thank god she's ok. washed the hurt down w/ some beer + finished off trivia in 2nd or 3rd place. i don't remember. :)

OH BTW I GAVE UP MEAT...

well, umm just red meat + chicken. still down w/ the fish + crustaceans. going out to eat + coming up w/ dinners for brad and i has been kind of tough, since he hasn't given up anything and i don't want him to suffer + starve, but we've been able to manage. hopefully, this will reduce the amount of junk food + greasy goodness intake so 1) i eat better + lose some of this chub, 2) i pick-up some much needed cooking skills + 3) save $ by not gorging ourselves via the drive-thru.

trader joe's has made the transition from meat-eater to veggie/pesce-lover pretty easy. so far so good.

last night's menu included blanched asparagus (lightly dusted w/ garlic salt) and garlic shrimp sitting on a bed of baked sweet potato fries. not bad, eh?
