HEX REVAMP SANS PREGGO PLATY
I was soooOOoOoOOo excited that I was going to get to watch my fish give birth, but I left for Brad's little Memorial Day BBQ and came back and homegirl still had little eggs sticking out of her butt. It pretty much looked like my fish had hemorrhoids. Not to mention, the eggs were empty. No itty bitty baby fish! :( She was becoming opaque all over and was pretty much dying by the time I got home, so I fished her out and sent her on her way to fishy heaven . Sadness!
On a lighter note, I relocated the khuli loaches in w/ the hillstream loach since I think the pH was a little too high for their liking in the cichlid tank. Hopefully, they'll all thrive in there. They're fun little guys. Lots of personality.
BRAD'S BLACKWATER FISH TANK SANS DISCUS
We bought red + blue discus, but they were sickly and one died within a week, so Brad went back to Sierra to get his $ back. The fish were dark when we bought them, which means they're either sick or stressed, so moral to the story is stay away from dark discus. Brad was only able to get store credit so we're waiting for a shipment of not-so-crappy ones to come in.
